Terms
Invite-onlyLast updated 7 July 2026
Family Hymn Companion is a small, free companion app shared by invitation while it's still early. By using it you agree to these plain terms.
What it is
The app helps families use a physical hymnal — the 1990 revised Trinity Hymnal — by making hymns easier to find, hear, and learn. It is a companion to the book, not a substitute for it, and not a licensed reproduction of any copyrighted hymnal content.
Access
Access is invite-based and provided at our discretion during this early period. Keep your sign-in email secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. Households are shared spaces — treat the people you invite accordingly.
Acceptable use
- Use the app for your family's own hymn-learning.
- Don't scrape, redistribute, or re-host its content or media.
- Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Content and rights
Lyrics shown in the app are limited to hymns in the public domain; entries still under copyright are not reproduced. Tune recordings are served privately to signed-in members for household hymn-learning — nothing is redistributed publicly. If you believe something here infringes a right, contact us and we'll address it.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties, and may change or be unavailable while it's young. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for any loss arising from its use.
