Invite-onlyLast updated 7 July 2026
Family Hymn Companion is a small, family-scale app shared by invitation. This page describes, plainly, what it collects and why. It is meant to be honest and readable rather than lawyerly.
What we collect
- Your email and account. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, WorkOS (AuthKit), using a passwordless magic link. Your email address and the account it creates are held to identify you and keep you signed in.
- Household data. The household you belong to, your role in it, and the hymns your household marks as favorites or “sung today.” This is shared among the members of your household.
- Basic technical logs. Ordinary request/error logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't build a profile of you beyond what the app needs to work.
Where it lives
Authentication is managed by WorkOS. Household and hymn-tracking data is stored in our application database on Cloudflare. Audio is served privately to signed-in members only.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from within the app. If you'd like your account and household data removed, contact the person who invited you, or reply to your invitation email — it comes from the people who run the app. Because the app is young and small, some of these processes are handled by hand.
Changes
If the app changes, this page will be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
